NASCAR Phoenix Raceway, AZ Racing

NASCAR BIO

NASCAR (National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing) is America's premier stock car racing sanctioning body, founded by Bill France Sr. in 1948. Headquartered in Daytona Beach, Florida, it sanctions over 1,500 races annually at more than 100 tracks across the United States and beyond. The NASCAR Cup Series is its top-tier championship, featuring high-speed oval and road-course races where cars can exceed speeds of 200 mph. NASCAR's rich history is deeply rooted in American culture, originating from Prohibition-era moonshine runners who transformed their high-speed driving skills into competitive racing.

The upcoming event, NASCAR Cup Series: Freeway Insurance 500, will take place on October 24, 2027, at the Phoenix Raceway in Avondale, Arizona. This race is part of the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series Season, which features a total of 36 points-paying races plus the All-Star Race. Fans can expect an exhilarating atmosphere filled with pre-race ceremonies and driver introductions, enhancing the live performance vibe that NASCAR events are known for.

Notable records include the prestigious Daytona 500, often referred to as 'The Great American Race', and Richard Petty's record of 200 Cup Series wins. The event will also feature opening acts such as the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.

Venue and Seating Information

Phoenix Raceway offers a variety of seating options to enhance the fan experience. Reserved grandstand seating provides assigned seats with elevated views of the track, ensuring an optimal viewing experience for all attendees. Additionally, there is Hillside general admission available on race day, allowing fans to bring their own chairs and blankets for a more relaxed atmosphere.

The best sections for viewing are typically the reserved grandstand seats due to their elevation and proximity to the action on the track. Conversely, Hillside general admission may not provide the same level of visibility as reserved seating, making it less desirable for those seeking a premium experience.

Phoenix Raceway offers convenient parking options for all attendees. General parking is free for all ticket holders and is available at Entries J, K, and L. For those seeking closer access to the gates, Premium Reserved Parking and Preferred Parking passes can be purchased.
